Where can you fly a hot air balloon in Morocco?

The most popular launch area is the plain north of Marrakech, where the open landscape, gentle winds and proximity to the Atlas Mountains make for ideal flying conditions. From the basket you'll see desert scrub, argan and olive groves, Berber farms and — on clear mornings — snow on the Atlas peaks.

What a Moroccan balloon flight looks like

Departure is roughly one hour before sunrise, with hotel pickup included. After a short safety briefing and watching the balloon inflate, you climb into the basket for a 45–60 minute flight. Back on the ground you'll receive a flight certificate and sit down for a traditional Berber breakfast on a private rooftop.

How much does it cost?

Hot air balloon rides in Morocco typically range from around 1,800–2,500 MAD (≈ 180–250 €) per adult, depending on the operator and whether transfers and breakfast are included. Our flights include pickup, breakfast and all taxes — and you can reserve now and pay later.

Is it safe?

Yes. Our pilots are licensed by the Moroccan civil aviation authority and fly only when weather conditions are within strict limits. Balloons are inspected regularly. Flights are extremely smooth — most passengers don't feel any motion sickness at all.
